Great achievement for the academy and all the staff after eight players gained selection in the prostegious Genova International School of Soccer (GISS) academy in Verona , Italy.
All players have signed on a 3 month deal with GISS academy were they train 2 times a day & play two games a week. Where they live and breath football.
Training alongside Serie A club Chievo Verona under the watchful eye of some of the best coaches in Europe on a quest to gain professional contracts.
Genova and Chievo boss Morris Pagniello told the ASA website he was very excited about the future ahead with ASA.
“No Australian team has come to Europe and won against La Liga teams that is unheard of in Spain.
I have selected these players because I believe they have what it takes. They have great attitude and are good footballers. It is a long process and will take alot of hard work. They will face tough times, hard sessions and will be pushed to their limits.
I praise Tony Basha and his staff at ASA for producing some talented players. They are some of the best we have seen here.
