Former Academy player / coach Kingsley Williams signs a professional contract with Leonesa cultural in Spains second division.
Williams who was scouted three years ago by head coach Tony Basha playing park football in his hometown of Manchester can thank ASA for his new lease of life.
Williams has been coaching & training at the academy for two seasons. Williams was a stand out in the NSW Premier league. After several failed bids in securing an A-League deal with Central Coast Mariners, Williams was flown to Europe to play with ASA.
After impressing scouts in the game against the under 20’s Leonesa, where he caught the eye of selectors Leonesa was quick to offer Williams a deal.
ASA coach Chris Camilleri alongside head coach Tony Basha who prepared Williams for the tour, said it couldnt have happened to a better person, he is one of the best players i have seen.
“We are all proud of him”. This academy is built on giving players a chance and helping them live their dream, its a proud moment for everyone here Camilleri said.
