Australasian Soccer academy will depart the Australian shores to take on some of the biggest clubs in Europe on Monday the 22nd of September.
The under 19’s team will play against the likes of Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers in the UK.
The players and staff will bunk down in Manchester for 5 days before heading to Spain to participate in friendly games against Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid and Hercules FC.
Head Coach Tony Basha told the ASA website the players are all ready for the challenge, We have some really good players at the academy and we will play against some of the best players in the world.
Basha emphasised his players will not be intimidated and we will show our intentions when we take the field. Players will also train on with clubs in spain for a chance of being snapped up by the Giant clubs Basha said.
Captain Salman Hassani said he was excited and felt confident in the players on tour. we have worked hard and have been working towards a structure. ‘ We have a good coach who will play good football and has us believing in ourselves. all the players have an important role to play.
